Olanrewaju Bernard Durojaiye is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Cyber Security at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). He holds a Master’s degree with a solid academic and professional background in Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, Network Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. His work blends core cybersecurity practice with advanced data analytics to support secure, resilient, and technology-driven digital systems.
Before joining the Department of Cyber Security, he worked as a Network Administrator for over five years, where he managed enterprise-level networks, strengthened system security, and ensured data integrity across digital platforms. He has also completed data
science internships with globally recognised institutions such as British Airways, BCGX, and Quantum, gaining hands-on experience in predictive analytics, data engineering, cloud computing, and model deployment for real-world decision support.
His research portfolio reflects a strong interdisciplinary commitment. Beyond cybersecurity analytics and digital forensics, his interests extend to Pan-African digital research, focusing on how emerging technologies can preserve culture, strengthen digital identity, and support inclusive technological development across Africa. He is
also involved in predictive immunization modelling for public health, applying machine learning techniques to forecast immunization gaps, improve vaccination coverage insights, and support evidence-based health interventions.
He is passionate about delivering excellent teaching, contributing to knowledge production, and advancing research that connects cybersecurity with data-driven solutions for society.
