Jane A. Ukaigwe, a passionate PhD candidate specializing in Artificial Intelligence at the ACETEL, National Open University of Nigeria, was born in Apapa, Lagos State.

Her academic journey began at L.A. Primary School and Creek High School. She earned her first degree at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and completed her Master’s degree at the National Open University of Nigeria in 2016.

Jane’s professional career is marked by diverse experiences. During her undergraduate studies, she trained at Data Solutions in Lagos and later worked as a Computer Operator at Computer Concerns Limited in Apapa. Her dedication led her to the National Open University of Nigeria, where she initially served as a Confidential Secretary before transitioning to academia. Currently, she is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Computing. Beyond teaching, Jane takes on administrative roles, including Admissions Officer, Online Facilitation Coordinator, and active participation in committees like the Practical and Course Materials Committees.

Her responsibilities involve course facilitation, preparing assessments, creating exams, and developing instructional videos.

An active researcher, Jane has published academic papers and presented at conferences. Beyond academics, she is an accomplished author of Christian novels, including Pray Them Out!, Young People Pressing Questions, and Your Assignment. She also mentors’ teenagers and youths, enjoys reading and researching, and finds fulfillment in helping others.
