Career Profile

Olawale Surajudeen Adebayo is a Computer and Cyber Security Consultant and enthusiastic.

He Lecture Computer Science and Cyber Security at the Department of Cyber Security Science, School of Information and Communication Technology, Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State, Nigeria and many other places.

Presently he is an Associate Professor of Cyber Security at the Department of Cybersecurity, Faculty of Computing, National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, Nigeria.

Before then, he has been a teacher of Mathematics in some secondary schools. He earned his PhD in Computer Science from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2017.

He also earned Bachelor of Technology in Mathematics and Computer science from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria in 2004 and was conferred with his MSc in Computer Science by the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria in 2009.

He has held several academic position including level adviser, research coordinator, SIWES coordinator and many others. He has served as Technical Aid Corp member of Nigeria Government to Islamic University In Uganda between 2022 and 2024.

He has also participated in many community services and external academic activities such as NUC Verification resource person, JAMB Technical officer and Supervisor, NECO monitoring officer, INEC Collation officer, among others. His current research themes include malware detection, Computer and information security, cryptology, and data mining security.

He has published many academic papers in these research themes.

He is a fellow of Institute of Classical Entrepreneur and member of Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), IEEE, Global Development Network, and International Association of Engineers (IAENG) among others. He is an editor of MAT Journal and a reviewer of many local and international journals.
