Dr. Oluwasogo Adekunle Okunade is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computing, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja, Nigeria

Biography

He is a seasoned academic and distinguished scholar with extensive experience in Computer Science education and research. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the prestigious University of Ibadan—Nigeria’s premier academic institution. With over a decade of teaching and research experience, he has served in various academic roles across a range of higher education institutions in Nigeria, including Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, and Universities. His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing knowledge and nurturing the next generation of computer scientists. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Computer Science at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), where he is also a Senior Lecturer. In this role, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the department’s academic and research direction, driving innovation, and fostering excellence in open and distance learning.

His research centres on developing innovative methodologies to enhance cybersecurity frameworks and optimise intelligent computing systems.
